A Lifetime of Service: Now, I'm Running to Serve You as Mayor of Edison

My fellow residents of Edison,

My name is David Tingle and for over 28 years, service has been the cornerstone of my life. As a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserve and a Lieutenant in the Edison Police Department, I have dedicated my career to protecting our nation and ensuring the safety of our community. Today, I am humbled to announce my candidacy for Mayor of Edison, driven by that same unwavering commitment to serving others.

My journey began with a call to serve our country. I enlisted in the Air Force, rising through the ranks to become a Chief Master Sergeant — a testament to my dedication and leadership. My deployments to Afghanistan, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Germany, often as a Phoenix Raven Team Leader, instilled in me the importance of courage, decisiveness, and always putting the safety and well-being of others first.

My commitment to service didn't end on the battlefield. As a Lieutenant in the Edison Police Department, I have spent more than two decades responding to emergencies, mentoring young officers, and guarding the streets we all call home.

Beyond my professional duties, I have served as a coach for youth football, baseball, and basketball, witnessing firsthand the power of mentorship and teamwork in shaping young minds. As an active member of the American Legion and VFW, I work tirelessly to support my fellow veterans, ensuring they receive the respect and resources they deserve.

Now, I am answering a new call to serve — this time, as your Mayor. My experience has equipped me with the skills and perspective needed to tackle the challenges facing our town:

• Public Safety — leveraging my law-enforcement and military background to keep our streets safe, support first responders, and fight for fair COLA benefits for retirees.
• Veterans and Senior Citizens' Rights — expanding access to healthcare, education, job training, and meaningful tax relief for those who have served.
• Investing in Our Future — prioritizing quality education and opportunity for every child in Edison.
• Fiscal Responsibility — ensuring every taxpayer dollar is used efficiently and transparently.

This election is about more than politics — it is about choosing a leader who shares our values, who will protect our families, and who understands the meaning of sacrifice.
